House Church

House  Church

“Greet Priscilla and Aquila, my fellow workers in Christ Jesus. They risked their lives for me. Not only I but all the churches of the Gentiles are grateful to them. Greet also the church that meets at their house. Greet my dear friend Epenetus, who was the first convert to Christ in the province of Asia.” (Romans 16: 3-5)

“Give my greetings to the brothers at Laodicea, and to Nympha and the church in her house.” (Colossians 4: 15)

“to Apphia our sister, to Archippus our fellow soldier and to the church that meets in your home” (Philemon 1:2)

House church is a community that fulfills all intrinsic purposes of the church. House churches are shepherded by a lay-leader and made up of 6 to 12 people meeting in their homes. In scriptures it says that the churches met in their homes and they created a dynamic church that made disciples of all nations.

The purpose of the house church ministries is to be the church Jesus had in mind. Jesus said that He would build His church and we find 4 imperatives (i.e. we call this 4 pillars) of new testament church.
